Edna Louise Horn, beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend left this earth to be with Jesus on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. She passed away at her home in Fannin, Mississippi surrounded by her family.

Born on August 1, 1943 in Jackson, Mississippi, Louise lived her life with a wonderful combination of strength, independence, loyalty, order and love. Family and friendship meant everything to her. She believed in staying connected, staying busy, and keeping on the move. To those closest to her, she was known as Mrs. Lou, aunt Lou or just Lou.

Louise was married for 32 years to her beloved husband, Calvin Dean Horn, before his passing in 2006. Together, they enjoyed fishing, driving their 1957 Chevy Bel Air to car shows around the South, and working together with their business partners and friends at H & H Drywall.

From the time she learned to jitterbug as a teen, Louise loved to dance. She was an active member of the Magnolia Ballroom Dancer's Association and the Mississippi Country and Western Dancer's Association. Through dancing, she formed many friendships that became an important part of her life. She cherished the people she met along the way and the fellowship that came with being part of that community.

Louise was, without question, one of the most organized people you could ever meet. There was always a place for everything, and she knew EXACTLY where that place was!

That same determination and care carried into everything she did. She was someone people could count on. She valued her family, treasured her friendships, and believed in making the most of whatever life put in front of her.

Louise was preceded in death by her father, Marlin Gail Cooksey; her mother, Dorothy Cooksey Scallorn; her husband, Calvin Dean Horn; her five brothers, Edwin, Edward, Tommy, Marlin, and Freddy Cooksey; and her two sisters, Patsy Jensen and Mary Berry. She especially loved spending time shopping and laughing with her sisters.

Louise is survived by her only son, Bryan Horn and his wife, Keri, along with many extended family members, friends, and loved ones.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished. And knowing Louise, she probably already has everything organized and in its place in her new home in heaven.

Visitation will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. with interment following at Lakeland Place Memorial Park.
