Jennifer Ann Butler, born on July 1, 1974, in Kosciusko, MS, passed away on January 16, 2026, in Jackson, MS. She worked with the Rankin County School District and cherished her work family, looking forward to seeing and working with everyone each day.

Jennifer was known for her love of her dog, Highland Cows, pickles, and her Mustang. She leaves behind her husband, Chris Butler; son, Chris Jackson and wife, Deanna; daughter, Destiny Jackson; mother, Shirley Shelton; father, Leland Burchfield and wife, Linda; mother-in-law, Mildred Butler; mother-in-law, Rosanne Garber; grandson, Hunter Jackson; stepbrother, Mark Frith; stepsister, Tami Davis and husband, Chuck; brother-in-law, Patrick Butler; and brother-in-law, James Butler and wife Casey.

Jennifer is preceded in death by her stepfather, Anthony Shelton; father-in-law, Gerald Butler; and her grandparents, Charles and Dorothy Taylor and Leland Herbert Burchfield and Elaine Wasson Burchfield.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ott & Lee Funeral Homes in Brandon, MS.
