Ina Faye Bailey, age 80 and a resident of the Homewood community, died Wednesday, June 3, 2026, following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026,  from the OTT & LEE Funeral Home Chapel in Forest with interment to follow in the Faulkner Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until the service time.

She was born on February 27, 1946, in Scott County to her parents J. T. Carpenter and Ola Ree Risher Carpenter. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. At age 50, she attended the Hinds Junior College Nursing program and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Her love of caring for people led her to work at the Forest Family Practice until she retired. Ina Faye lived a quiet and simple life following her retirement. She always had a smile for everyone and was an encourager to everyone she met. In recent years, she left her home on Blossom Hill Road and lived with her daughter, Pennie Foreman, and her son-in-law, Rusty.

She enjoyed fishing and playing the piano, but more than that, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her life was a beautiful portrait of a godly wife, mother, and grandmother.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Bailey, son Daniel Bailey, siblings Milton Carpenter, Ellen Gray, Bernie Carpenter, Rosie Register, Doris Pace, and Joanne McNair.

Survivors include her daughter, Pennie Foreman (Rusty) of Homewood; 2 grandchildren, Dusty Foreman (Brittany) and Nathan Bailey; 5 great-grandchildren, Drake Foreman, Douglas Foreman, Declan Foreman, Raelynn Runnels, and Trevor Runnels.

Pallbearers are Lester McWilliams, Malcom Rigby, Ricky Foreman, Richard Russum, Ronnie Foreman, and Dusty Foreman.

In lieu of flowers, they are beautiful and appreciated; she loved flowers. Memorials may be made to Samaritan’s Purse.

OTT & LEE Funeral Home of Forest is honored to serve the Bailey family.
