Celebrating the Life of Gregory "Greg" Williams Brand 

July 2, 1949 – September 17, 2026

With deeply heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Gregory "Greg" Williams Brand on September 17, 2026, at the age of 77. To all who were blessed to cross his path, Greg was a beacon of light, warmth, and enduring joy.

Born in Jackson, Mississippi, on July 2, 1949, to his loving parents Sam and Audrey Brand, Greg spent his formative years making memories across Jackson, Hazlehurst, and Clinton. After graduating from Columbia Military Academy, his intellectual curiosity led him to study at several colleges and universities. Professionally, Greg explored the insurance and clothing industries, but it was the dynamic world of political consulting that captured his heart. Whether working as a trusted consultant or a clever operative, Greg brought unmatched talent, dedication, and insight into countless national, state, and local campaigns.

Beyond his career, Greg’s true masterpiece was his personality. He was the literal life of every party, armed with a rare and beautiful gift for making everyone around him smile—except, perhaps, his political opponents. His quick wit, generous humor, and larger-than-life presence left an indelible mark on the world. To know Greg was to know love, laughter, and a fierce friendship that will be profoundly missed.

Greg has been reunited in eternity with his parents, Sam and Audrey, and his beloved son, Jeffery Brand, who went before him.

His legacy of joy and love lives on in those he leaves behind. He is survived by his devoted son, Jason Brand of Brandon, Mississippi; his caring brothers, Sam (Marilyn) Brand and Marc (Martha) Brand; and a wonderful circle of nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate Greg’s beautiful life during a visitation at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi, on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Services to follow immediately in the chapel located at Ott & Lee.
