Frances Cecilia Boone Simpson, 83, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026. She was born in Vicksburg, Ms on March 18, 1942 to Robert and Ruthie Boone. 

Visitation will be Friday from 12-1pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest, followed by the funeral service in the chapel at 1, to be officiated by Bro. Kenny Lang. Frances will be laid to rest next to her husband and son at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Pulaski.

Frances retired from Hugh’s Aircraft after many years of service. In her retirement, she spent her time gardening and raising chickens with her beloved husband, Perry. She also enjoyed coloring and painting, which remained her favorite way to pass the time, even up to the end of her life when she was no longer able to tend a garden. She was a faithful servant of God, and her faith never wavered in the face of dementia. She began each day with a prayer, studied her bible religiously throughout the day, and ended each day with another prayer. 

She is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Dr. Perry L. Simpson Sr.; two sons, Butch and Carl Simpson; her parents, Robert Boone and Ruthie Wooldridge Boone; brothers, Robert Jr., Thomas, Floyd, Jim, Joe, and Fred Boone; sisters, Nancy Ruth Puckett, and Marjorie Mae Williams.

She leaves behind one son, Donald (Casey) Simpson; a daughter-in-law, Linda "Jody" Simpson; two brothers, David and Billy Boone; grandchildren, Gloria (Kelly) Widener, Perry III (Megan) Simpson, Jamie (Natasha) Wintzel, Brandy (Dewayne) Robinson, Brady (Leslie) Simpson, Patricia (David) Evans, Tiffany, and Heather Simpson; and her great-grandchildren, Tipton, Brantley, Justin, Julie, Jenna, Annabelle, Hannah, Faith, William, Leland, Stella, Wyatt, Jada, Desi, Morgan, Bentley, Andrew, Dallas, CJ, Zachary, and Elizabeth.
