Frances Ina Moore, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away in Jackson, Mississippi, on Monday, April 20, 2026, at the age of 96.

Frances was born on December 3, 1929, to Felix Black and Annie Watts Black. She married William Sidney Moore, Jr. on May 13, 1949, and together they raised two children, David and Donna. She has been a member of Greenfield United Methodist Church since 1949, and she retired from the Rankin County Board of Supervisors and Chancery Clerk’s Office. She also enjoyed travelling across the United States visiting family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Annie Black; husband, William Sidney Moore, Jr.; and siblings, Myrtis Morris, Dorothy Lee, W. P. Black, James Black, and Charles Black.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, David Moore (Chalon) and Donna Moore Woodward (John); grandchildren, Sonja Coale (Chuck), Angelia Perry (Jerry), Altina Moore, Rebecca Deakle (Amanda), Kiley Woodward (Angela), Casey Woodward (Aimee), and Brandy Ott (Danny); 12 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 1:00 pm in the chapel at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Greenfield United Methodist Church Cemetery.
