Ernest Dee Davis
Ernest Dee Davis, of Morton, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at home, on Friday, June 19, 2026. Visitation will take place at Ott and Lee in Morton at 1 PM with services immediately following in the chapel at 2 PM. Bro. Donnie Stuart will be officiating. Internment will be at Morton Memorial Gardens. Ernest will leave behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and devotion to his family.
Ernest was born in Canton , MS on July 8, 1941. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mildred Louise Harmon Davis. The two shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. They built a life centered on love, dedication, and family. He is survived by his siblings, Gladys Davis McDaniels, Virginia Davis Thompson, and Glen Davis, along with numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as great great nieces and nephews that he loved beyond measure. Though Ernest never had children of his own, he treasured his nieces and nephews as if they were his own and he took great pride in the relationships he shared with them.
Ernest spent his career as a truck driver retiring in 2008. He was a man who believed in hard work and providing for those he loved.
Ernest was a loving and caring man who always put his family first. He found joy in gardening, caring for his pets, and spending time with those closest to him.
Ernest will be remembered for his warm heart, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family. His kindness touched many lives, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
