Ellen (Williamson) Daniels, 85

March 13, 1939 to April 12, 2024

Ellen Daniels, beloved Mother, Sister and Friend is home with her Lord Jesus Christ.  She was blessed with many talents.  She was a published author of fourteen novels, a prolific painter in the realist style, and most importantly, she was a devoted teacher of the Christian faith for over 60 years.

As a child, she enjoyed the experiences and people who would become the subjects of her novels. She then married and served as a pastor’s wife for decades and worked as a Medical Records Administrator as she raised her family.

Her sense of humor and concern for the comfort and safety of others were the hallmarks of her relationships at church, with family and in her community. Her faith and commitment to a Berean level of bible study built the foundation for her relationships and enriched her worship and service at Park Place Baptist Church and her beloved Sunday School class.  Ellen had a strong sense of dignity and class which was reflected in her daily life.

She is preceded in death by Father, Hughie Williamson, Mother Brunice Lee (Mayo) Williamson, brothers Archie, Jimmy and Billy Williamson and sister Dean Dove and grandson Michael Daniels.

She is survived by her children Jim Daniels, Stan (Lisa) Daniels, Lori (Joe) Weatherford, Grandchildren Carmen Daniels, Roger Cameron, and Great Grandson Jesse James. Sister Gloria Wilson and Brothers Sam and Johnny Williamson.

She will be interred at Wheatfield Congregational Methodist Cemetery in Union, MS.

A special recognition must be provided to the Staff of Peach Tree Village Assisted Living who brought vitality, love, security and peace to Ellen’s final days.
