Ellen Marie Berry Sills, 83, a resident of Pearl, MS passed away on July 21, 2026 in Brandon. Visitation will be held at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon on Thursday, July 23rd from 11am-1pm, with the funeral service beginning at 1pm in the chapel. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Sills was a longtime member of Truitt Baptist Church in Pearl, where she faithfully attended worship services and Sunday School. She loved spending time in nature, whether waiting in the woods for a deer to cross her path or casting a line from a riverbank. Ellen retired from the City of Flowood after many dedicated years as a secretary. She was also a talented seamstress, even making the bridesmaids' dresses for her son and daughter-in-law's wedding. She cherished time with her children and grandchildren, and you could count on never leaving her house hungry. Ellen was an excellent cook and especially loved to bake.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cabe S. Berry Sr, and Martha Keen Berry; sisters, Pauline Armstrong, Louise Robertson, Ina Belle Cutrer, and Virginia Brabham; and brothers, Sexton, Spurgeon, Joe, Tom, and Cabe Berry.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Roland Sills; son, Randy Sills (Vickie), Daughter, Debbie Pinn, and son, Mitch Sills (Kay); one sister, Esther Thornhill; grandchildren, Brandi Parks (Keith), Brittany Chavis (Tyler), William Martin (Melody), Josh Martin, Landon Sills, and Mikayla Sims (Tyler); numerous great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
