Doris Walters Lasher,101, of Forest, MS passed away peacefully at MS Care Center of Raleigh on Monday, August 31st, 2026. Visitation will be held at Ott and Lee Funeral Home of Forest on Saturday, September 5th from 12-2pm, with the funeral service following at 2. Burial will take place at Hilsboro Baptist Church Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.

Mrs. Lasher was a member of Steele Baptist Church, where she worshiped as long as she was able. She loved the Lord, loved her family, and loved her cats.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, O.B. Lasher; her parents, James Oren and Bessie Walters; and her two sisters, Myrtle Primm and Myrtice McNeal.

She leaves behind her son, Wayne Lasher and his wife, Kathy.
