Obituary

David Patrick Foy, 56, of Pearl, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord on May 18th, 2026. David was born on October 22nd, 1969, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, to Don and Patty Foy. He attended Niceville High School in Niceville, FL, and Mississippi College in Clinton, MS, where he met his wife Rosana Bean Foy. They were married in 1991 and together they had 6 children.

David was a man with a sharp mind, a quick wit, and a calm spirit. He loved his family fiercely. He was a devoted follower of Christ and active in his local church. David has served as a Sunday school teacher, youth volunteer, deacon, choir & orchestra member, and security team member. A lifelong athlete, he ran track and cross-country in middle and high school; for the last 17 years he has trained in Taekwon Do, most recently achieving his second degree black belt. He worked at Mississippi Safe & Lock in Clinton, MS, for 30 years, becoming owner of the business in January of this year.

He was preceded in death by one son, Canaan Josiah Foy, and by his grandparents Norma and Axel Swanson, grandmother Bernice Scott, and great-grandparents John and Emma McCurdie.

He is survived by his wife and his parents; his children Emmalyn & Eddie McCurdy, Jonathan & Hannah Foy, Benjamin Foy & wife-to-be Carolyn, Cory Foy, Lily Foy; and granddaughter Judith Foy.

Visitation will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon on Wednesday, May 20th, from 4-7pm. The funeral will be held at Meadow Grove Baptist Church in Brandon on Thursday, May 21st, at 10am and will be preceded by a one-hour visitation at the church. Burial will be at Lea Cemetery in Amite County, MS. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Foy, Benjamin Foy, Eddie McCurdy, George Thrash, Jared Cox, Luke Walker.
