Daisy May Williams

Daisy May Williams, born on March 26, 1925, in Rankin County, MS, passed away peacefully in Jackson, MS, on December 29, 2024, at the age of 99. She was known for her warmth and love, especially for her family. Daisy was a devoted homemaker who brought joy to those she loved through her great cooking and passion for flowers and gardening.

She is survived by her two sons, Doc (Judy) Williams of Brandon and Ray (Dawne) Williams of Puckett. Daisy was a cherished grandmother to Stephanie Holt, Randy (Suzanne) Williams, Kimberly White, and Joe Williams. She took great delight in her great-grandchildren: Audrey Holt, Evan Holt, Wright Williams, Matt Rankin, and Madison Rankin, as well as her great-great-grandson, Cooper. Daisy also embraced her role as a step-grandmother to Christina Charzenka and Jessica Harvey, and enjoyed watching her step-great-grandchildren, Evelyn Harvey, Nick Charzenka, and Sophia Charzenka. Daisy's brother, Hubert (Betty Joyce) Bowman of Pelahatchie, is also among her surviving family.

Daisy was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Fay Williams, and her parents, Oscar and Alice Bowman. She also lost five siblings over the years.

Visitation for Daisy will be held on January 1, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, both taking place at County Line Baptist Church.  Daisy will be laid to rest at County Line Cemetery.

Daisy May Williams left an indelible mark on the hearts of her family and friends. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
