Bobbie Joe Kelley, age 86, and a resident of Pelahatchie died Thursday, September 26, 2024, following an extended illness.
Visitation will be held from 1pm till 3pm Friday, September 27, 2024, at the OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Morton with a graveside service to follow the Visitation in the Morton Memorial Gardens. Bro. John Vaughn will officiate.
Mr. Kelley was born on October 18, 1937, in Cottondale, IL to his parents, Lurla Dotson Kelley and Joe Kelley. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. His career spanned a forty year period at the Stanwood Corporation in Pelahatchie where he served as plant manager until his retirement. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Harris Kelley of Pelahatchie; two children, Mike Kelley (Corina Valdez Kelley) and Kim Kelley, both of Pelahatchie. He also leaves behind a legacy of three grandchildren; Blake Bowman (Fran), Michael Joseph Kelley, II (Lauren), and Lindsey Kelley Perry (Kevin), four great-grandchildren; Claire Bowman, Alice Bowman, Hayzlee Nelson, and Jozie Mae Kelley.
