Mr. Billy F. Cummins, 84, of Homewood passed away on July 9th, 2026 at Mississippi Care Center of Morton. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 14th from 12-2pm at Ott and Lee of Forest, with the funeral service beginning at 2pm. Burial will take place at Milligan Springs Baptist Church on Wednesday, where the family will hold a private graveside service under direction of Ott and Lee Funeral Homes.
Mr. Billy spent his working years at McCarty Farms and Lady Forest Farms, where he was employed as the Hatchery Manager until his retirement. He was a skilled rifleman and member of the Bienville Shooting Club. He was an avid sportsman who loved hunting and fishing, especially with his grandkids. He was a lover of antique tractors and enjoyed showing off one of his prized possessions with the Forest Antique Tractor Club. He was also instrumental in the formation of the Homewood Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Billy was a Christian by faith, being baptized in his younger years at Milligan Springs Baptist Church. He lived in the Pulaski Community, where he and his lovely wife, Rancie Lynn raised their two sons.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clayton Lamar Cummins and Lois Chesteen Cummins.
He leaves behind his wife, Rancie Brantley Cummins; his two sons, Gene (Amy) Cummins, and Glenn (Kim) Cummins; one sister, Marilyn (Drew) Blanton; one brother, James L. “Jimmy” Cummins (Elizabeth); and four grandchildren, Maxwell, Ella, Sean, and Alexander Cummins.
