Betty Wilkerson Muirhead, age 74, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness.

 Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30pm Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the Antioch-Steele Cemetery with Bro. Larry Duncan officiating. Visitation will be held from 1pm till 2pm at the OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest. 

She was born to her parents Neva Goss Wilkerson and Quitman Wilkerson on December 12, 1949, in Meridian, MS. She graduated from Scott Central High School where she played basketball and ran track. Known by many as Betty Lee, she was loved by everyone who knew her, and she will be greatly missed. She had retired from Georgia Pacific as a line operator. Betty was a member of Hazel Baptist Church in Lake. She later attended Salem Baptist Church. 

Betty was Preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her loving husband of 31 years John N. “Nick” Muirhead of Forest, and two children who greatly loved their mom: Lisa Usry Jay, and Garland Lee Usry, Jr. both of Forest.

She also leaves behind two sisters: Dell Reeves of Morton, Diane Wiggins, brothers: David Wilkerson (Sherry), Donald Ray “Duck” Wilkerson, Jamie Wilkerson, and Jimmy Doyle Wilkerson, all of Forest, four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

 Pallbearers are Eddie Dearman, D.J. Martin, Charlie Bell, Wes Muirhead, Lee Myers, and Brooks Gibbs.
