Betty Ann Gunn passed away peacefully at the age of 89. She was a loving daughter, sister and friend whose kindness touched so many lives. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 11am -12 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest, Ms., with the funeral service to begin at 12pm in the Chapel at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.

Betty was born on May 9, 1937, in Lena, MS to Bulus P. and Mattie B. Gunn. She enjoyed time with her family, and together they made many fond memories

After graduation, Betty moved from Lena to Canton, MS where she was employed by Southern Bell, later to become AT&T. After a few year,s Betty was transferred to Jackson, MS where she worked for 45 years for AT&T.

In her senior years, she became a resident of The Blake of Flowood, where she received loving long-term care until her passing. We are deeply grateful to the staff at The Blake for the passionate care they provided. They treated Betty like one of their own. We also extend our appreciation to Bristol Hospice for their help and compassionate care. We know she has reached the heavenly gates and was greeted by our Lord and Savior and her loved ones there.

She is survived by her sister, Margie Dodson, nephews Danny (Karen) Dodson and Randy (Lorie) Dodson, and 2 great-nephews, Riley and Ryan Dodson, her sister-in-law, Jan Gunn, nephew Jeffery Gunn, great-nephew Brayden, and great-niece Anna Lauren Gunn.
