Annie Joyce Moore

Annie Joyce Moore, age 74, a resident of Forest died Monday, July 15, 2024, at St. Dominic Hospital following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12pm Saturday, July 20, 2024, from the Morton Church of Jesus’ Name under the direction of OTT & LEE Funeral Home of Forest. Bro. John Goodhue will officiate the services. Visitation will also be held there from 10m till the service time. Interment will follow in the Morton Memorial Gardens at the pavilion.

 Mrs. Moore was born on July 27, 1949, in Tuscaloosa, AL to her parents Adam Washington Moore and Annie Bell Glover Moore. She later moved to this area where she met and married her husband, Michael Wayne Moore. They were married for almost 46 years. She had worked for Winn Dixie Food Stores in the Deli. She was a member of the Morton Church of Jesus’ Name. She loved her family and enjoyed being with them and visiting friends.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings William Moore, Sarah McCool, Howard Moore, Betty Jean Colburn, daughters; Sandra Jo Harris, and Betty Ann Harris. 

 Survivors include her husband Michael Wayne Moore of Forest, daughter Tammy Beatty (Johnny) of Polkville, three sisters: Susie Anderson, Jewel Vann, Katherine Colburn, and a brother Pete Moore. She also leaves behind a legacy of ten grandchildren,18 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. 

 Pallbearers are Diego Marroquin, Justin Rushing, Dewayne Simmons, Joshua Simmons, Craig Waller, and Timothy Burkes.
