Andrew "Andy" Wallace Bloomer, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and devoted servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026, at the age of 82. 

Andy was born in Indiana to Oliver DeWitt Bloomer and Tennessee Aubrey Strauser Bloomer. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. Following his military service, Andy lived in several different states throughout his life, making memories and friendships wherever God led him.

While living in Artesia, New Mexico, Andy met the love of his life, Cindy Jones. Their journey together continued for 37 years and eventually brought them to Brandon, Mississippi, where they made their home. In Brandon, Andy developed a wonderful community of friends and became part of a loving church family.

But above all else, Andy was a man of God. His greatest love was his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His faith was not simply something he believed - it was something he lived. Andy wanted everyone he met to know about Jesus and the love He has for them. He openly shared the message of salvation that Jesus offers to all who believe in Him. His faith was strong, sincere, and evident to everyone who knew Him. Andy leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and devotion that will continue through his family and all those whose lives he touched. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Jones Bloomer; his two sons, Andy Bloomer, Jr. (Stacy) and Shawn Bloomer (Julie); eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, who brought him great joy and pride.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver DeWitt Bloomer and Tennessee Aubrey Strauser Bloomer; his brother, Ed Bloomer; and his sister, Ardath Roudebush.

Andy will be deeply missed by his family, friends, church family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His family takes comfort in knowing that his faith has become sight and that he is with the Savior he loved and faithfully served.
