Obituary

In Loving Memory of Allen David Burnham Sr.

November 30, 1957 – September 12, 2026

Allen David Burnham Sr. was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend whose bright personality and infectious sense of humor brought joy to everyone around him. He was always joking with people, trying to get a rise out of them, and making sure there was never a dull moment.

David had a way of making his presence known. Whether he was working on something, spending time with family, or sharing a good laugh, he brought his own special energy to every moment. His laughter, stories, and unforgettable personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Daddy loved woodworking, building projects, working with his hands, and family.

Above all, David loved his family. He would rise to any occasion for his children, grandchildren, mother, siblings, and loved ones. His love was shown through his actions, his dedication, and the countless memories he created throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia Burnham, and his father, Johnny Burnham.

David leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: Bridget Norsworthy (Mike), David Burnham Jr., Jeremy Burnham, and Jessica Burnham (Luis).

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Mackenzie and Blake Ferguson, Carlos, Cruz, Caroline, Kayla Whiteley, Lake Norsworthy, and Finn Norsworthy; and his great-grandchild, Raylen Whiteley, will also carry his memory forward.

He leaves behind his mother, Autherine Burnham, and his siblings, John Burnham, Joan Wells, and Dianne Speights, along with extended family and friends who loved him dearly.

Though he is no longer with us, his bright spirit, loving heart, and unforgettable sense of humor will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

A father’s love never leaves us. It lives on in our hearts, in our memories, and in the love he gave us.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Crossroads Cemetery in Pelahatchie.
