Aaron Ray Howell passed away on October 6, 2026, in Brandon, Mississippi at the age of 83. He was born on August 29, 1943 in Bazemore, Alabama to Boyd and Ara Howell.
Aaron will be remembered with love by his family and all who knew him. He is survived by his sons, Evans Howell and his fiancé Jordan, Bryan Howell and his wife Pamela, Jeff Howell, and David Howell. He is also survived by his brother, Douglas Howell and his wife Patsy, and many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and one grandchild on the way.
Aaron had a love for the outdoors which included hunting and fishing. One of his many passions was high school and college football. Aaron played football for Alabama and the late great coach Bear Bryant. His passion for the sport didn't stop after his playing days. Friday nights you could find him in the stands at the Brandon High School or Hubbertville High School stadium. After many years of working in the box industry, Aaron enjoyed spending time at the coffee club. He would wake up at 4am to make sure that he was the first one there. His other loves included a sweet tooth for desserts and Thursday night shenanigans. His greatest love however was the love that he shared with his family especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Boyd and Ara Howell, his wife, Pamela Howell, with whom he shared 36 years of marriage, and by his sister, Sandra Dunavant.
