Rev. Kim Riley

Kim Riley, 53, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS.  Visitation will be Friday, September 8, 2017 from 5 pm until 8 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and again on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 1 pm until the 2 pm Chapel Service at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.

Kim was born on July 22, 1964 in Tupelo, Mississippi.  He was employed by Pearl Lower Elementary School as a custodian, where he twice was honored with the Employee of the Year Award.  Kim was a faithful member and associate pastor of Apostolic Lighthouse Church of Pearl.  Kim was a true man of God, Always singing and spreading the love of Jesus.  He and his wife, Martha, were active with several outreach ministries, including the Hinds County Youth Justice Center, local nursing home and prison ministries.  Kim was also a leader of the Peace Be to Thee drug and alcohol class sponsored by Apostolic Lighthouse Church.  Kim loved his family, his church family, co-workers, and friends and he will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Kim was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine Shumpert Riley and Richard Cummingham; his brother, John L. Riley; his grandparents, John and Grace Penson; and an aunt, Diane Edwards.

Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Martha Rogers Riley; step-children, Homer Rogers, Jr., Carter Rogers, Charlotte Cato, Monica Booth and Jane Williams; step grandchildren, David Rogers, Kyle Rogers, Zachary Rogers, Robbie Rogers, Christina Rogers, Jennifer Kitchen, Marcel Garr, Josh Cato, Brandi Booth, Ty Booth, and Colby Williams; great grandchildren, Makaylee, John Carter, Memphis, Shawn, Alex, Lieghton, Kallie, Levi and Benson; also his sisters, Helen D. Adams, and Nichol Riley; his brother, Tracy Riley; aunts, Mamie H. Wells and Maxine Jackson-Caldwell; and uncles, Willie Penson, Tommie Penson, Bobby Penson, and Ben Albert; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
