Dotsy Arinder Nix, 72, passed away Mon. Oct. 23, 2017 at her home in Florence, MS. Visitation will be held on Tues. Oct. 24, 2017 from 5pm-7pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2pm on Wed. Oct. 25, 2017 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Glenwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Richland, MS.
Mrs. Nix was born in Smith County, MS and has been a longtime resident of Florence, MS. She was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church in Florence, MS. Mrs. Nix was a well know hair dresser, loved to crochet, sewing and enjoyed collecting dolls.
She is survived by her three children, James Edd Parker, Kenyell “Ken” V. Parker and Paul Parker Jr.; sister, Minnie Nelson; brother, Sidney Arinder; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Mrs. Nix is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Nix; parents, Clyde and Molly Arinder; two sisters, Indanola Goodman and Arbell Davis and three brothers, Hubert Arinder, Burnell Arinder and Moody Arinder.
