William Randall “Randy” Sharpe was born to William Nick “Billy Nick” and Ruth Moore Sharpe on January 20, 1954 in Jackson, MS. Randy grew up and spent his life in Brandon, MS. He went home to glory August 21, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janie Williams; brother, Nick Sharpe and his niece, Laurie Williams.
In life Randy was full of joy. Randy never met a stranger. He enjoyed going to Allen’s and talking to everyone who walked by. Randy could also be found outside in his outbuilding working on project at the time whether it be the Cushman or a Cub Cadet lawn mower. To others it may have looked like junk, but to Randy they were treasures. He enjoyed working in the yard and took real pride in a nicely cut yard.
As a young man, Randy worked at the International Place in Brandon and later at the International Harvester in Mendenhall and Hyster in Pearl. He later became a part salesman and outside sales at Jackson Mack, Kenworth, Volvo and Empire. Later in life he became a dump truck driver for Rankin County and local construction companies.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Marie Sharpe; two daughters, Kimberly Sharpe of Riverside, CA and Olivia Sharpe of Brandon; one grandchild, Annabelle Solorio of Riverside, CA; one brother, Chad Sharpe of Utah and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thurs. Aug. 22, 2019 from 5pm-7pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and on Fri. Aug. 23, 2019 from 9am-9:45am at Greenfield United Methodist Church in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 10am on Fri. Aug. 23, 2019 at Greenfield United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
