Obituary

Larry Odell Watters was born in Haynesville, LA on January 13, 1939. He passed away from this life and on to the next on Friday, September 6, 2019, surrounded by a loving family at his home in Brandon. Larry was a member of Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon and he was very faithful to The Overcomers Sunday School Class.

Larry was a passionate supporter of our natural conservation.  He was an avid outdoorsman and active foxhunter.  He was known, and will be remembered by countless friends across our entire nation who shared his passion and friendship.

                He is preceded in death by his parents, A.O. and Lourine Watters of Jackson, MS. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Connie (Wall) Watters of Brandon; One son, Larry Odell Watters, Jr. (Sabrina) of Brandon; three daughters, Bethany Lynn Burkes of Brandon, Lisa Burkes Harrison of Crystal Springs, and Teresa Burkes Gray (Johnny) of Cartersville, GA; Eleven grandchildren , Jason Digrazia (Angie), Josh Digrazia, Tonja Harrison Mangum (Thomas), Chris Harrison (Summer), Jennifer Digrazia, Sean Harrison, Erin Gray Waits (Michael), Haley Watters Eargle (Jordan), Sarah Harrison Eschete (Canaan), Jennie Watters, and Wesley Gray; Eight great-grandchildren, Gavin Digrazia, Trinity Mangum, Chloe Harrison, Katy Harrison, Dylan Mangum, Elijah Harrison, Adelynn Digrazia, and Elena Waits; One sister, Jane Watters Beaver, many nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends.

Visitation will be held at OTT and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 3 p.m. in the chapel.  Rev. Jon Graef and Rev. David Briggs will officiate. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Larry’s name at, Blair Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson, MS, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN or The Brandon Gideon's, P.O. Box 324, Brandon, MS 39043.
