Jack W. Tuten, 91, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019. Funeral Services will be at 11:00am on Monday, January 14, 2018 at Shiloh United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 3:00-5:00pm Sunday, January 13, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home, Brandon, MS and again on Monday from 10:00am-11:00am at the church. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
Jack was born March 4 1927 in Natchez, MS. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a printer, pressman for sixteen years before he began in the trucking industry. He was a driver for Red Ball Motor Freight, McLean Trucking, and ended his career with ABF Trucking. His CB handle was Red Foxx. He was a loyal member of Teamsters Local 891.
Jack had many special friends in the Shiloh Community who visited him regularly. A special thanks from the family to Lem Adams for his loyal support during this time and to all who enjoyed visits with him, we truly appreciate it.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Evelyn Pearl Tuten and son, Captain Mark Tuten.
He is survived by his brother, Sam Tuten; sons, Howard Tuten (Gloria) and John Tuten (Sharon); daughter, Betty Ainsworth (Chuck); grandchildren, Corey Ainsworth, Brad Tuten (Bonnie), Tracy Tuten, Jason Tuten (Katie), Jade Ryan (Jeremy), and Pete Tuten; and seven great-grandchildren.
Jack is also survived by his special friend and caretaker, MS. Kaye Lee. Thank you for all your support and care during these years.
