Alice Marie Williams was born October 12, 1936 in Rankin County to her parents: Tobe and Annie Westbrook Williams. She entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 18, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 80.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Mrs. Alice will be remembered as a humble servant. Serving her family was top priority to her as she was a devoted homemaker, taking care of the needs of her husband, four sons, and their families. Cooking was a favorite past time, as quoted by one of her family members: “She was the best cook around.” Quilting and making ceramics were favorite past times in days gone by. A lover of the outdoors and God’s creation, Mrs. Alice enjoyed fishing, farming, and tending to her cows as long as her health permitted. She served the Lord and was faithful to His work through the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, where she was a member.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister: Oretus Craft; one brother: John Thomas Williams; and one god-granddaughter: Retus Craft.

Survivors include her husband of over 60 years: Mr. W.T. Harrell of Forest; four sons: Victor (Kay) Harrell, Jeff (Cindy) Harrell, Mark (Tina) Harrell, and Todd (Renae) Harrell, all of Forest; seven grandchildren: Jennifer Gibson, Megan Harrell, Courtney Nelson, Taren Harrell, Craig Harrell, Thomas Phipps, and Toby Harrell; two great-grandchildren: Luke Tadlock and Reagan Tadlock; four sisters: Polly Thompson of Leesburg; Betty Benton and Linda Massey, both of Forest; and Janie Johns of Pelahatchie; several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Toby Harrell, Craig Harrell, Thomas Phipps, Seth Hodges, Blake Nelson, and Luke Tadlock.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in memory of Mrs. Alice Harrell to the Mt. Olivet Building Fund, 4340 Hillsboro-Ludlow Rd., Forest, MS 39074.
